Each title in the music for performance series will feature material from a given artist representing a live show. These may, indeed, be live recordings or they may be documents of sound that has been used in a live setting.

Colin Andrew Sheffield's contribution to the series consists of one twenty minute piece, a door is ajar. This recording was prepared for Austin TX's Intersect 5 event, which took place in May of 2002. It is a very subtle piece, with slow shifts of unfolding sound and sustained mood throughout.

This is the second in a series of recordings issued on limited edition CDRs. Each title is limited to 44 numbered copies only, packaged with handmade paper and full-color labels.
