Endsheets is a collection of four previously (or practically) unreleased pieces from Sheffield's archives.
These four tracks were recorded over a period of several years and were initially gathered together as a follow-up to Sheffield's 2005 CD, First Thus. Other projects ended up requiring his focus though and the material that would make up Endsheets was put on hold.
Now, finally, this work has been made available.
Entirely comprised of truncated, extended, shifted, and layered samples, this is uncomfortable ambient music. Alternating between drone akin to working machinery and moments of crystalline beauty, the furtive sounds of Endsheets remain ephemeral.
